This is a photo shoot I did almost a year ago with a friend, Stephanie. I did her make up and hair and we put together a cute outfit for her and took some shots. I don't know why but I really wasn't happy with any part of the out come so I ignored the shots. Decided to take a look at them again last night, and this is what I came up with! I'm quite impressed because they are really quite appealing to look at, or so I think. I never thought I would give in to using textures with my images, but I tried it out, and I really liked it....... Tomorrow I'm shooting again, so stay tuned for more photos!
The fourth and last shoot from the incredi-shoot weekend was with my friend Maris as the model. I had envisioned the model standing on top of the water, as if she were floating, or walking on water. The shoot was very hard to pull off, it was very cold and windy. I'll definitely be re-attempting this shoot before the summer is over. However, I'm very, very happy with the images I got!
The third shoot of my crazy shoot-a-lot weekend was supposed to be some avant garde makeup in a tall hay field (the same field as with Jacinda's shoot), but it started to rain! My boyfriend saved the day when he got the bright idea of moving our shoot indoors, and to his friend's tuner shop. In we went, quickly set up a bit of a backdrop and started shooting. Model, Stephanie did a fantastic job working with a genre she hadn't had much previous experience in. Throughout the shoot I wasn't 100% impressed with my lighting set-up, but I amazed myself as soon as I got the images onto the computer. I hope you like them, too.
Shoot two from my insane-shooterific-weekend consisted of another friend who was happy to model for us, Jacinda.
I really wanted to bring out Jacinda's inner beauty in the photos. She is such a beautiful woman inside, and out, and she did an incredible job in front of the camera! I feel like this photo shoot has really brought Jacinda and I together as friends, and I'm quite happy about this!
